Yvette E. McDonald, LCSW-QS a person centered, strength based therapist that uses an integrative approach to best meet the needs of both her learners and supervisees. She is an adjunct Professor in Human Services at Indian River State College and a Qualified CSW Supervisor. In her work with learners and supervisees she bring's her energy and passion to the experience. Some would describe her as one that will push you, have high expectations, comprehensive, supportive, consistent and clear, empathetic, knowledgeable and outcome oriented. At the heart of it she wants you to be the very best version of self as you wear your professional hat, demonstrating to the world the beauty of the profession and all that it has to offer.
She is actively involved in educating, guiding, training, and mentoring undergraduate leaners at IRSC and supervisees helping them develop the person as a therapist in order that they can better themselves as therapist. She is not a hand holder, she's a stickler for the rules and she's not about this being a checklist item/expereince for you.
